Reveal: Living Archive

Our Approach to Privacy

Reveal is designed to be a private, personal archive. Your entries belong to you.

Reveal does not require an account and does not operate a service that stores your personal archive on Reveal-owned servers.

Your Archive

Content you create in Reveal, including entries, Quick Entries, Quick Notes, Threads, photos, and voice notes, is stored locally on your device.

Reveal does not sell your personal content or use it for advertising.

Photos, Microphone & Speech Recognition

Reveal may request access to device features such as your photo library, camera, microphone, or speech recognition when you choose to use features that require them.

These permissions are used only to provide the feature you request. You can manage system permissions for Reveal through your device settings.

Backups & Exports

Reveal provides tools that allow you to back up or export your archive. These actions are initiated by you.

When you choose to save, share, or move an exported file outside Reveal, that file is handled by the destination or service you select and is subject to that service's privacy practices.

Analytics, Advertising & Tracking

Reveal does not use your personal archive for advertising and does not track your activity across other companies' apps or websites.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your archive remains on your device until you delete content or remove the app, subject to any backups or exports you have chosen to create.

Reveal includes tools for deleting entries and other content. Items placed in Recently Deleted may be retained temporarily before permanent deletion so that you have an opportunity to restore them.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if Reveal's features or data practices change. The current version will be available on this page.
